In order to advance to ranks E5 through E6, you will need to get enough promotion points, these are awarded through awards, Physicial Fitness, Weapons Card, Civilian Education and Military education, the points will range from 0 to 800 promotion points. You can use this tool to see cut off scores as well as check for names and MOS in the released cut off scores. Names annoted with an asterisk has not met the requirement to be promoted but have been promoted non the less schools should be attended asap in order to maintain pay grade.
